Q. What is the difference between an Interior Designer and an Interior Decorator?
A. In short, Designers create functional spaces within a building, while Decorators adorn a space with decorative elements.
An Interior Designer is defined as “a multi-faceted profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment.” Designers are required to take classes through a 2-4 year program from an accredited school.
Interior decorating is outfitting a space with aesthetically pleasing elements such as furniture, wall-coverings, accessories, rugs and more. Interior decorators do not work with architects to create new interior spaces; they embellish interior spaces that already exist. No formal training is required.
Q. How much should I expect to pay for your work?
A. We charge an hourly rate for our services. The time required to complete a project depends on its scope and the level of support required.
If we assist with sourcing of goods, before any orders are placed, you will be responsible for paying for the cost of the materials including sales tax, shipping, handling and other fees assessed by the vendor plus our mark-up. If you would like us to receive and hold the materials before they are brought on-site, storage fees will also be assessed.
Q. I don't live in the Tampa Bay area. Can you still help me with my project?

Q. I only need help with one room in my house at the moment. Do you have a minimum space requirement?
A. No! Deshay’s Designs can help design a single room or a whole house. We will work with you to define the scope and budget that fits your needs. If you decide to add to the scope at the end of the project or later on, that’s ok too!

Q. Do you offer construction services?
A. While we don’t provide construction services, we will gladly work with the architect, builder or contractor of your choosing. We can also provide references upon request.

Q. Can you create 3D models?
